ABOUT THE PROJECT

The United Ideas Project aims to contribute towards the reduction of incidences of early marriages, early pregnancies and HIV among in and out of school adolescents in Ntcheu District. By uniting traditional leaders, teachers, young people, and the clergy into a collective advocacy effort, this project hopes to shift the understanding of SRHR at the community level across generations.

Williot currently works as a Youth Program Officer at Global Hope Mobilization and as a teacher at Mai Aisha Academy. He also work with the Center for Child Development and Research on a part-time basis.  On the weekends, he works as a Radio Presenter for Trans World Radio Malawi. Williot has been working with the Kapesi Community Based Organization since 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Education Social Studies from the University of Malawi in 2013. As a student, he served as the Program Coordinator for the Human Ecology Society as well as the University’s Electoral Commissioner.  After graduating, he was a student-teacher at Chipasula Secondary School in Lilongwe.
