Dr. Eden is an Emerging leader with Women Deliver. She is a medical doctor and advocate with a robust academic and professional background. Eden has also been deeply involved in sexual and reproductive health, focusing on advocating for improved services, access to care, and rights for girls and women, especially in underserved and conflict-affected communities.
Over the past six years, she has been supporting programs focusing on girls, women and youth in conflict affected and fragile humanitarian settings. During the recent armed conflict in Tigray, northern Ethiopia, Dr. Eden supported the provision of life-saving medical care and support despite severely challenging circumstances. This period not only tested her resilience but also deepened her resolve to contribute to healthcare improvements in conflict-affected areas. Currently, she works as a Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme Analyst with UNFPA Ethiopia.
With her unique blend of expertise and experience, Eden aims to bridge gaps in SRHR services, advocate for the empowerment of women in peace and security and develop innovative solutions to support the health and rights of women and girls.
