Women Deliver is a leading global advocate that champions gender equality and the health of girls and women, in all their intersecting identities. For over a decade, Women Deliver has been working at the forefront of the gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights movement. Women Deliver has worked to advance this vision by strengthening the advocacy capacity of thousands of advocates; spurring significant policy changes and investment to advance gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and right (SRHR), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); elevating the voices of young people and those most affected by the policies and practices they are working to change; advancing the investment case for gender equality; and putting crucial issues on the global stage through the world’s largest conference on gender equality.
Women Deliver is seeking a strategic senior leader who is passionate about addressing gender inequalities around the globe. They should bring a depth of expertise in gender equality, SRHR, and coalition building, coupled with a dissatisfaction about the colonial and racist history of the sector – and a wish to be a part of the movement to radically transform it. A highly networked and skilled advocate who believes in collaboration, the Senior Director will advance Women Deliver’s Collective Action agenda. They need to have the instincts of an inclusive leader who can mobilize people, resources, and coalitions. The role requires an ambitious mindset, with a drive to question and improve the INGO sector, unafraid to challenge power structures, and a steadfast commitment to creating inclusive spaces for all.
The Senior Director, Collective Action at Women Deliver will play a pivotal role in leading and managing transformative workstreams focused on Emerging Leaders for Change, Collective Action for Change, and Convenings for Change, with a specific focus on advancing three critical issue areas. The Senior Director, Collective Action will oversee and coordinate the strategic direction, impact assessment, and resource mobilization of these workstreams and issue areas to ensure their effectiveness in achieving Women Deliver’s mission.
