Abir Shady is the Governance and Partnerships Manager for the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (PMNCH), an alliance of more than 1000 organizations in 77 countries from the sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health communities. She has also been a member of WHO humanitarian and emergency teams in several countries, and led country and regional programming to strengthen country Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems, as well as health information systems, through her work with the Health Metrics Network. Prior to joining PMNCH, Abir worked in the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, country offices, and the WHO Office at the United Nations in New York.
