What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?
Having lived in a patriarchal society, I always wondered why women, like myself, are disabled from having a say in their own future. I was fortunate enough to be afforded plenty of opportunities to analyze, study, and observe the gender inequality in Pakistan, which ignited my passion to bring a change.
Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.
My father ran a pro-bono clinic, which took cases from all over the surrounding villages to help women with their legal troubles. I was proud to be present to help the women who were either shy or religiously obligated to not talk to a male.
Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy reading biographies and watching documentaries on Netflix.
