What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

I have always believed in fairness and equality for all people, but it wasn't until I witnessed firsthand the discrimination and inequalities that women and marginalized genders face on a daily basis that I truly became passionate about the pursuit of gender equality. Whether it was the pay gap, the lack of representation in leadership positions, or the disproportionate burden of caregiving and domestic work, I saw firsthand how systemic discrimination and gender-based violence hold so many people back. That's when I knew I had to do something to be a part of the solution and fight for a more just and equal world for all genders.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

As an advocate for gender equality, I am always grateful for the small victories that add up to create big change. One big win for me was when I was able to engage with a group of young people to create a safe and inclusive space for discussion on all SRHR activities . Seeing the positive impact that this had on the lives of these young people was incredibly rewarding.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy a number of hobbies and activities. I have always had a love for music and enjoy listening to a wide variety of genres. Reading is another passion of mine, and I especially enjoy getting lost in a good fiction novel. I also love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit some amazing places around the world. Exploring new cultures and experiencing different ways of life is always such a rewarding and enriching experience for me.
