Maja Staśko is passionate about speaking and organizing events related to #MeToo, economic equality, and women’s rights.
Maja was born and raised in Poland. She studied Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies in Translation, Comparative Linguistic, and Literary Studies, at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. As a Freelancer for cultural and socio-political Polish magazines, she is responsible for supporting women fighting against discrimination and exploitation by writing texts and speeches and organizing events and actions. Through her work, she wrote a #MeToo report about the discrimination and exclusion of women at a student organization. Additionally, she also is the Editor at Ha!art Publishing House. As an advocate, Maja supported women who spoke up during the #MeToo movement and promoted #MeToo in Poland through texts and public speeches.
Maja was inspired to become an advocate by Angela Davis because she fought against the patriarchy and capitalism and wrote uncompromising texts and manifests.
In her free time, Maja enjoys working out, reading books, and watching television.
