Madison Birtchnell is passionate about developing conferences on the importance of pursuing adventurous, previously unconsidered careers.
Madison was born and raised in Australia. She is studying for a Bachelor of Business Management degree at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). As the Volunteer Social Media Manager at the National Council of Women Queensland, Madison is responsible for creating opportunities, promoting the work of organizations, and is working to develop initiatives that support them. Through her work, she is reaching more than 6,000 people per day to promote bursaries that support and enrich women’s lives. Additionally, she is the Events Manager at QUT’s Red Cross Society. As an advocate, Madison participated in an International Women’s Week event that was supported by a state government grant and brought together more than 180 women from across Queensland.
Madison was inspired to become an advocate by Malala Yousafzai because she has never let her age define or limit her ability to inspire others and make a difference.
In her free time, Madison enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, advocating for social justice issues, and writing.
