In the last few years, young people have broken the barriers of traditional power structures to set the political agenda, but protests must translate to specific action. It’s a crucial moment to double our efforts to fight for our present and future and embrace the bold transformations that will be needed in the years to come.

What ignited your pursuit for gender equality?

My pursuit for gender equality started as little fires everywhere. I was raised with a passion for social justice and human rights, and I was lucky enough to find amazing leaders all around me who showed me the big picture and the impact activism and advocacy could have.

Please share your biggest wins as an advocate for gender equality.

Just before the 2018 congressional debate on the legal abortion law in Argentina, as part of the team representing Civil Society during IACHR's Public Hearings of the 168 Period of Sessions regarding Right to Sexual and Reproductive Health for Women in Argentina, I was able to represent young women and children regarding their access to sexual and reproductive rights, pushing for the law on access to safe, legal, and free abortions.

Outside of your gender equality advocacy work, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy doing everything crafty I can get my hands on: embroidering, painting, drawing, etc. Organizing different kinds of events is something I love doing, especially powerpoint parties. My hobbies keep changing because I'm always trying to teach myself new skills and building upon my knowledge of whatever interests me at the moment.
