After Libya’s Ministry of Education set out to revise curricula, Zorgh Madi (Class of 2018) pitched her proposal to the ministry advocating for the inclusion of the gender perspective in the revised curricula. After several meetings, the ministry accepted her proposal. Zorgh also signed a partnership with the ministry’s Women Office to work with the Curriculum Committee to revise the new curriculum to ensure it is free of sexism and negative stereotypes, and to reflect a gender perspective for the first time in Libyan history.
