Franklin Gnanamuthu’s World Contraception Day (WCD) Ambassadors Project, “E=MC Square,” uncovered the varying levels of knowledge, access, and discriminatory behavior among married and unmarried men, women, and transgender people in relation to their sexual and reproductive health and rights. He interviewed several young people to produced two short documentaries. The first, titled “Transgender Protection Bill – Voices from the Community,” detailed how transgender people in the community will be affected by a new bill passed by the Indian government that seeks to limit discrimination against a transgender person, but is open to loopholes and misinterpretation.
