Unami Moatswi Trained 500 University Students in Botswana on Sexual Harassment

share

Unami Moatswi, a Women Deliver Young Leader from Botswana, received a $5,000 seed grant from Women Deliver — made possible by Johnson& Johnson — to implement Project Unbreakable, a sexual harassment campaign on the University of Botswana campus to lobby for a strong sexual harassment policy and procedures. Through her project, Unami led 10 training sessions with at least 500 male and female students, raising awareness and providing accurate information about sexual harassment on campus. As a result of her work, Unami engaged with University administrators, providing the opportunity for her and her team to submit an outcome document of the project to the University administration that will influence the revised policy on sexual harassment.
