Talimba Bandawe’s World Contraception Day (WCD) Ambassadors Project, “Say It, Get It,” promoted increased access to female condoms by building the capacity of young people in Malawi. She trained 15 youth advocates, who then held 12 meetings with service providers to develop a plan for the health facility to better promote female condoms, including tracking how many women were requesting them, ensuring that community health workers included information on female condoms during their weekly talks, and creating a user manual in the local language of Chichewa. Ultimately, the four targeted health facilities all had female condoms in stock and had distributed a total of 3,200 units.
