In June, Carlos Cuinica (Class of 2018) participated in the 38th Human Rights Council in Geneva as a delegate from CHOICE for Youth and Sexuality. He participated in plenary sessions and held meetings with the Mozambique Permanent Mission to the U.N. to discuss youth participation, monitoring youth policies in Mozambique, and the process of elaborating on the laws against child marriage. He also met with the Danish Youth Delegation to discuss having a Youth Delegation in UN meetings like the HRC, UN Assembly, and others, and has continued discussions to advocate for the creation of a Youth Delegation in Mozambique.
