Marinella Matejcic, a Women Deliver Young Leader from Croatia, is implementing “CSE in Practice,” a seed grant project made possible by Johnson & Johnson that advocates for comprehensive sexuality education in Croatia. Through her seed grant project, Marinella reached out and arranged a meeting with UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health Dainius Puras. During the consultation, Marinella was joined by other organizations and advocates, including the Red Cross. She explained the current situation regarding comprehensive sexuality education in Croatia, the context and the background, and shared the details of her project. After the consultation, the Special Rapporteur then released a statement to the press on the meeting, including specific points made my Marinella in reflection of her project and advocacy work. That statement can be found here.
