Olaoluwa Abagun’s seed grant project “Safe Kicks Initiative: Adolescent Girls Against Sexual Violence,” has been recognized as a success. Girl Pride Circle — Olaoluwa’s organization that led the implementation of her seed grant made possible by Women Deliver and Johnson & Johnson, was awarded an additional $1,000 grant by The Pollination Project to continue its work. Olaoluwa has also been recognized as a leader in the field in Nigeria, and was invited to the Connecting Girls Voices through Data Summit, co-hosted by Plan International and Girls Voices, where she facilitated an hour session on “Girls and the SDGs” for over 100 adolescent school girls.
