Vijayanathan Thusandra (Class of 2013) used his renewed grant to collaborate with the Sri Lankan Youth Parliament to host a workshop on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of people living with disabilities. Following the workshop, 12 youth parliamentarians delivered speeches on this topic to a wider audience in Sri Lanka, and Vijayanathan and his team were interviewed by three local television stations about their work. Additionally, they developed a “Message for Leaders” video featuring individuals such as social workers and youth parliamentarians to target policy makers and social workers to state the need for policy changes in sexual and reproductive health and rights for people living with disabilities.
