Melissa Fairey’s World Contraception Day (WCD) Ambassadors Project, “York Region Youth Sexual Health Empowerment Project,” empowered young people in her community to make informed choices about their sex lives. The project included an e-book, website platform, and podcast series that collated resources and educational information for young people about sexual health education, contraception services, sexual assault, consent, gendered violence, and domestic violence. The e-book was circulated throughout the greater Toronto area through key partnerships and community partners. Melissa distributed 600 printed copies and reached an additional 1,000 people with the digital copy.
