Jennifer Amadi completed a project to empower young people with the knowledge and skills needed to become change agents to end FGM in Nigeria as well as promote youth-led advocacy around the Violence against Persons Prohibition Act 2015 (a federal law that bans FGM in Nigeria) by the federating states. Through a school-based peer education program, a social media campaign, and the sensitization of adolescents in schools, the project trained 60 peer educators about FGM and received support from the State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and Her Excellency as well as the wife of the Executive Governor to ban FGM.
