Jasmine George Shifts the Conversation to Address Victim Needs at CSW

Jasmine George (Class of 2016) spoke on a CSW panel “Can We Achieve Gender Equality in a Context of Criminalization?” alongside other scholars and activists. As a feminist, activist, and lawyer, she made the case to go beyond criminalization in the context of GBV, and to pay greater attention to a framework that addresses the victim’s needs. She argued for restorative justice and rehabilitation.
