Examining the Effects of Cash Programming on GBV in Humanitarian Settings in East Africa – Women Deliver

As the country gender focal point for Save the Children Niger, Aissa Laouan Wandarama (Class of 2016) attended a regional symposium in Nairobi, where she presented a case study of a pilot project to adapt and integrate post-distribution monitoring (PDM) tools to examine the effects of cash and distribution methodology and practice on protection against GBV as well as promoting women’s protection in general. This regional learning event brought together approximately 100 senior managers, technical advisors, researchers and practitioners with an interest in gender and cash programming with the aim of sharing learning, identifying evidence gaps, and generating recommendations for action to advance SDG 5 to achieve gender equality.
