As part of an ongoing series to engage rural women in her community, Shakera Sharpe (Class of 2018) conducted an information session in Sawyers District in Trelawny where she met with 16 women farmers. The session sought to empower the women through opportunities available for their growth and development as it relates to funding, access to land, and partnerships in the agro processing industry and to better understand their needs.
