Through her seed grant project, made possible by Johnson & Johnson, Caren Odanga organized a stakeholder meeting where attendees drafted the desired amendments to the restrictive laws and policies on abortion. The meeting brought together 50 local opinion leaders including 5 doctors, 12 nurses, 13 civic leaders, 5 religious leaders, and 15 youth leaders. The stakeholders expressed their support towards the project and committed themselves to push for the decriminalization of abortion in Kakamega County in Kenya.
