Ali Kaviri’s World Contraception Day (WCD) Ambassadors Project, “Youth E-SRHR,” challenged the myths, stigma, and barriers surrounding young people’s knowledge and use of contraceptives. Ali organized five public advocacy events, three Twitter chats, and three flash mobs in slum communities. As a result of these advocacy events, a group of young people decided to petition the Chairman of the Health Committee in Uganda to increase investment in reproductive health and ensure the availability of contraceptive services to all young people.
