Isaac Houngnigbe is passionate about organizing workshops to train youth on sexual and reproductive health.
Isaac was born and raised in Benin. He studied General Medicine at Faculty of Health Sciences at University of Abomey-Calavi. As a physician at a private hospital, he is responsible for planning health promotion activities in grassroots communities and through the media. Through his work, he has sensitized more than 1,000 girls on breast cancer screenings and personal hygiene. Additionally, he is the Head of the Health Department at the Academy of the Young Elite of Benin. As an advocate, he is proud to be one of the Benin Young Leaders 2018 selected by Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the recipient of the Best Blogger Favorite of the Public 2017 at Benin Blog Awards.
Isaac was inspired to become an advocate by Dr. Albert Schweitzer because he decided to devote himself entirely to the health of the people in a village of Gabon.
In his free time, Isaac enjoys volunteering, writing, traveling, watching TV, and cooking with family and friends.
