Christopher Nkambwe is passionate about promoting gender equality for LGBT persons in Uganda.
Christopher was born and raised in Uganda. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and Development at Makerere University. As Peer Coordinator and Youth Engagement Officer at Most at Risk Population Initiative, she is responsible for coordinating LGBT outreach and engaging youth in different activities. Through her work, she was one of the main organizers for the 2018 Women’s March in Uganda. Additionally, she is a Social Worker at Service Workers In Group Foundation Uganda. As an advocate, Christopher is proud to be impacting youth from different regions of Uganda that inspire her to continue the work that she is doing.
To Christopher, “meaningful youth engagement” means “full participation of youth at all levels.”
