Women Deliver Announces New Young Leaders: Advocacy in Action Tracker
Women Deliver is excited to announce the launch of our new Young Leaders Advocacy in Action tracker. A groundbreaking new way to convey advocacy progress and impact, this tracker displays the efforts that Women Deliver Young Leaders are making across issues, at local, national, and global levels.
Every day, Women Deliver Young Leaders are catalyzing action for impactful, positive change for gender equality and the sexual and reproductive health and rights of themselves and of girls and women. The Young Leaders Advocacy in Action tracker makes visible this important and often unseen work.
“In this increasingly uncertain world, the visible leadership of young people is important if we are to maintain hope for today and secure the development prospects of women and girls tomorrow,” said Yemurai Nyoni, a Women Deliver board member and 2013 Women Deliver Young Leader. “The Women Deliver Young Leaders and their work are clear beacons of such hope, in showing the world how to turn passion into innovation, and innovation into meaningful action for women and girls worldwide. With every meaningful youth-led action on the SDGs, our future becomes more secure.”
From raising their voices at high-level global platforms to holding local decision-makers accountable, this tracker serves as an interactive visual account of their collective action.
Started in 2010, the Women Deliver Young Leaders Program counts 400 youth advocates representing more than 100 countries across all regions of the world, who are doing advocacy work on behalf of themselves as well as girls and women. This tracker is made possible by our generous donors, who continue to invest in the Women Deliver Young Leaders Program because they know that young people are powerful change-makers.
